Painting in 2022

It's been a busy year so far. I'm writing from my new studio and home now located in the lush, beautiful Connecticut River Valley, in the hamlet of Moodus, CT.  It's taken 7 months to get fully settled after leaving Cape Cod, and painting was back-burnered as we made the transition back to my husband's home town area.

Now close to our family, we get to fully enjoy and re-acquaint ourselves with the CT river and also the Long Island Sound shoreline, as well as the nearby farms that offer local produce, meats, cheeses, beer, and flowers.

The fabulous vistas and subjects are truly an embarrassment of riches and a favorite local framer has just the right choices to embrace each new work I create.  At the moment, I'm focusing on a CT River landing not far from my home, so stay tuned, an image will show up in the next week or two.  Because it's July as I write this, the various local ponds and lakes are afloat with water lilies.  It's just beautiful.
